Zhengzhou University

Zhengzhou University (ZZU) is a "Double First-Class" and "Project 211" university located in the historic city of Zhengzhou, Henan Province. As the largest university in China by student population, it serves as a massive research and education hub. ZZU is particularly famous for its Medical College (formerly Henan Medical University), which was one of the first in China to offer English-taught MBBS programs.

The university operates across four major campuses, covering nearly 1,000 acres:

  • Main Campus: Located on Kexue Avenue (High-tech Zone). It is the primary base for international students, housing modern teaching blocks and international dormitories.

  • East Campus: Located on Daxue North Road. This is the "Medical Campus," home to the First Affiliated Hospital of ZZU (the largest hospital in the world by bed count).

  • North Campus: Located on Wenhua Road, focusing primarily on technical and engineering disciplines.
